Phillip Schofield Swears War on Former Co-Star Holly Willoughby by Unfollowing Her on Twitter

Phillip Schofield quit the daily show earlier this year after admitting to having an affair with a younger co-worker. He now seems to be at war with his former “This Morning” co-star Holly Willoughby, who came back to the show this week after taking a break over the summer.

Schofield has stopped following Willoughby on Instagram because of rumors about their relationship. He still follows past show colleagues Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, as well as the main show account.

Schofield’s new move comes as the Network tries to keep its best daytime show title at Tuesday’s National Television Awards at The O2 in South East London.

Willoughby still follows Schofield on Instagram, despite the ongoing backlash over a “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger man on the show, which has been accused of being toxic and bullying behind the scenes.

Willoughby talked about the Schofield scandal back in June, saying, “It feels very strange to be sitting here without Phil, and I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have—shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the well-being of people on all sides of what’s been going on, and full of questions.”

She continued, “You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved.”

Schofield said he had “lost everything” because of the scandal and hinted that his time in TV was “over.”
