Eric McCormack has been seen for the first time since his wife Janet Holden filed for divorce, effectively ending their 26-year marriage.

The actor was seen out for a stroll with his dog in Los Angeles, where he appeared downcast and gloomy in athletic wear.

He was clothed in a blue zip-up hoodie jacket, khaki shorts, black sneakers, and a cap. As he wandered along a tree-lined boulevard with his furry companion, a pair of spectacles draped over his shirt’s neck.

What drew attention was the star’s wedding ring, which was still on his finger.

McCormack, who appeared focused, had just picked up his morning take-out coffee and an unidentifiable food in a brown bag. Throughout, he held his dog’s blue leash in his hand, preferring to let the furry pet run free.

According to many sources, his estranged spouse began the divorce application citing “irreconcilable differences” in a courthouse on Wednesday. Notably, there was no mention of a specific date of separation in the documentation.

Janet is a Hollywood director who is supposedly seeking spousal support and attempting to prevent the Top Gun actor from receiving any of it.

They first met in 1994 and now have a 21-year-old son together.
