Monday Headlines: Kentucky in the College Basketball Rankings

The Kentucky Wildcats are prepping for tomorrow night’s big matchup against the Miami Hurricanes at Rupp Arena, but after two wins last week, it will be interesting to see how the Wildcats fare in the latest rankings.

The Wildcats picked up two wins, which included a closer-than-expected matchup against St. Joe’s that went into overtime, with the Cats coming out ahead 96-88.

Kentucky followed that up with one of the best offensive performances in the John Calipari era, a 118-82 blowout victory over the Marshall Thundering Herd. In that game, the Cats scored 69 points in the first half and finished with 118, the most points during Calipari’s tenure.

The Cats should see some movement in the rankings, likely jumping into the top 15, with the teams ahead in the last rankings suffering losses over the past week, but it will be interesting to see just how far the Cats move up.

Meanwhile, Miami, who was ranked #10 last week, should also see some movement in the polls, setting a big stage for tomorrow night’s matchup.

Check back throughout the day for updates on the latest college basketball rankings and top 25 polls for Kentucky.
