WILMINGTON — Beatlemania is coming to downtown Wilmington’s Wilson Center next May.

Rain — a tribute to Britain’s Fab Four — will perform two shows at 7:30 p.m. on both May 7 and 8. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m.

Rain began in the mid 1970s in California, originally tagged “Reign.” In 1979, the act was featured on a made-for-TV-movie “Birth of the Beatles,” sparking their careers.

The group — Paul Curatolo (Paul), Aaron Chiazza (Ringo), Alastar McNeil (George), Steve Landes (John) — will play songs from “Abbey Road,” as well as tracks from the “Rooftop Concert,” among other hits. They perform note-for-note Beatles’ hits, with state-of-the-art LED, high-definition screens and multimedia content.

Access tickets, which start at $42, here or call the box office, 910-362-7999, Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
