PARKERSBURG — The 3 Betties Foundation Inc. will hold a three-on-three, co-ed basketball tournament to help raise money for travel expenses, bills and other needs of a local couple dealing with cancer.

Paralyzed in a car wreck in his younger days, Brian “Woody” Woodyard has been an information resource/mentor to others who have recently been paralyzed and is always looking to find where he can help others. His wife Jen was diagnosed with bile duct cancer and has been receiving treatments, going between Cleveland Clinic and Pittsburgh.

The tournament is slated to start at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at Parkersburg Catholic High School. The cost for a team of five (three players and a couple for bench/depth) is $200.
