Sebastian, a Husky dog, had an unexpected adventure last Sunday when he found himself stuck in a sewer drain in Lexington, Kentucky. The spunky pup was discovered by Animal Control officers, who spent about half an hour trying to rescue him.
Jai Hamilton, an Animal Control officer, said that Sebastian was very vocal and seemed eager to get out. However, he was also a bit afraid, which made it difficult for the officers to read his behavior.
Hamilton and her coworkers eventually removed the manhole cover to pull Sebastian out. The Husky was a bit reluctant at first, but he eventually cooperated and was safely rescued.
Sebastian was reunited with his owner on Monday evening. The dog seemed happy and excited to be home, and Hamilton says that Sebastian’s owner is very grateful for the officers’ help.
