Liam Payne Apologizes to Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Others for Being ‘Wrong’

Liam Payne, a former member of the band One Direction, has openly apologized to Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson. He said he was in a “bad place” and “in the wrong.”

The singer for Strip That Down has apologized for throwing his former teammates under the bus and criticizing them in harsh ways in the past.

The 29-year-old has admitted that his criticism of the talented four men came from a place of insecurity. He “scrabbled to stay relevant” by doing interviews like Logan Paul’s controversial show, where he said he was the most talented member of the band.

He surprised his fans when he posted a heartfelt video to his YouTube channel in which he finally talked about some of the controversial things he said about his One Direction bandmates on Logan Paul’s show last year.

The singer said that he was in a bad place when the podcast was recorded, and he took back some of the things he said in the YouTube video about Louis, Harry, Niall, and Zayn.

“A lot of what I said came from the wrong place. I was so angry at what was going on around me, and instead of taking a look inwards, I decided to look outwards at everybody else. And I just think, yeah, I took it out on everybody else, which is just wrong, really,” Liam said in the tape.

“My own frustrations with my own career and where I kind of landed, I took shots at everybody else, which is wrong, so obviously I want to apologize for that in the first instance, because that’s definitely not me,” he said.

Liam said they were a way for him to “protect himself” because he always compared himself to his old teammates.

“The rest of the boys really stuck by me, and when I needed them the most, they kind of came to the rescue. Even Zayn as well, which is why I did send him a little thank you online, actually,” the singer said.
