Car crashes through fence at east Charlotte home


CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A car that was being pursued by Salisbury Police crashed through a fence into a person’s yard at an east Charlotte home early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened right off the intersection of East Sugar Creek Road and Anderson Street before 5 a.m.

Video from the scene showed the car crashed through a tall, wooden fence before coming to a rest.

Salisbury Police said the pursuit began just after 4:00 a.m. near I-85 and Jake Alexander Blvd. when an officer went to investigate a car in a parking lot.

The driver sped off, police said.

Medic said it did not respond to the scene.

One person was taken into custody at the scene.
