What’s replacing the former Payless store in the Springhurst Towne Center?

Unrivaled Car Wash is scheduled to open in June of next year at what used to be a Payless store.

Description: Three brothers are opening their first car wash in the Springhurst Towne Center in east Louisville. Tyler Langford, the owner and operator of Unrivaled Car Wash, the new location is expected to open in June of next year.

Langford said the car wash will sell four membership packages — the basic, which includes rinse and dry, good, better, and the unrivaled.

“The top three packages will likely include tire shine,” Langford said. “The top two packages will include a different type of wax or protecting and then the very top package will offer a ceramic coat that’s specific to … car cleaning,” Langford said.

Washes will include several services for free, including vacuums, towels to dry the cars, and mat cleaners. The car wash will also have two pay stations.

What’s being replaced: A Payless store.

Cost: $5.6 million, including the cost of the property, the equipment and the construction fees.

Size: Langford said the car wash is in a .9 acre property including a 3,600 square-feet building and 18 vacuum stalls.
