With unconventional showrooms, pop-ups and parties, local brands and collectives as well as large companies use the creative appeal of Fashion Week to attract fashion enthusiasts from outside the business world to the city. These are once again united in the B2C initiative Studio2Retail.
Last season, a series of historical and modern venues throughout hosting the shows through the city were impressive. Thanks to the Newest showcase format supported by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, the concept continues in February and turns fashion and scenery into highlights in equal measure with locations such as the former Pressecafé on Alexanderplatz.
A week focused on tolerance and freedom
Berlin Fashion Week functions as a platform where designers can freely develop not only their creative works, but also their individual convictions, according to the guiding principle of openness for all, regardless of background, beliefs or point of view.

Freedom, tolerance and a firm “no” to any form of discrimination will continue guiding the event’s criteria in building up its program and selecting its participants, as Berlin Fashion Week not only focuses on aesthetic innovation, but also on an inclusive space that celebrates and supports diversity.
