10 great places to shop local for unique holiday gifts in Grand Rapids


GRAND RAPIDS, MI – With the holiday season officially upon us, it’s the time of year when many of us are on the hunt for special gifts for our loved ones.

If you didn’t get a chance to do your holiday shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you could consider shopping local and checking out some of the unique shops and boutiques West Michigan has to offer.

We’ve got a wide variety of local businesses here in the Grand Rapids area that offer quality, one-of-a-kind gifts including clothing, jewelry, artwork and gourmet food that you won’t find at the big-box retailers.

1. Art of the Table

Art of the Table is a specialty gourmet shop that specializes in offering carefully curated products for entertaining. This shop is perfect if you’re looking for the perfect gift for the epicure in your life, offering wine, spices, gourmet snacks and sweet treats, and more.

Located in the heart of the Eastown business district, Rebel is another great store to get your holiday shopping done. The shop offers everything from trendy jewelry to wine glasses, and Michigan-made artwork to handmade paper card, according to its website.

3. Oh, Hello Co. Paper & Gifts

Oh, Hello Co. is a gift shop that specializes in uniquely designed paper products that are perfect for the person in your life who is organized and detail-oriented. The shop sells things like notebooks, planners, stationary, stickers, socks, embroidery and more.

Yours Truly was started in 2002 with a dream to provide curated, quality items to the Grand Rapids community, according to its website. The Eastown retail shop sells a variety of gifts, women’s apparel, artwork and artisan jewelry.

The shop is located at 1405A Lake Dr. SE. and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

6. Woosah Outfitters

Woosah Outfitters is perfect for the nature enthusiasts in your life. The art and apparel shop sells clothing, artwork and lifestyle accessories perfect for hiking or outdoor activities, all designed and hand-crafted here in Grand Rapids.

If you’ve got a friend or family member searching for more artwork to fill their home, stop by AllArtWorks to find a piece that’s perfect for them. The local art gallery has over 1,000 pieces of original artwork for sale made by artists around the world.
