The last time we saw Halle Bailey at New York Fashion Week’s red carpet, she turned up the noise.

Bailey told People magazine on the red carpet of the event in New York City on Wednesday night that her structured black jacket dress was inspired by Janet Jackson. The event was for the opening of Pandora’s Diamond District pop-up installation in Astor Place. The Little Mermaid star, who is 23 years old, said that Jackson will always be her inspiration.

“So that was the vibe tonight, and I thought it was going to be way colder in New York, but it’s not, it’s hot,” Bailey said with a smile as she spread out her face.

She says, “All I care about is being comfortable,” and she dresses more for ease than for fashion. Bailey said that after the red carpet was over, she would rePandora plans to “take over New York Fashion Week with diamond-tinted lenses,” and the installation will reimagine normal New York City moments. This is done to celebrate the launch of three new types of lab-grown diamonds.

The Grown-ish star was there with Pamela Anderson, Ashley Park, Julia Fox, Brandon Lee, Cara Santana, Caroline Polachek, and Grace Coddington. In the most current Pandora ad, Anderson and her sons are shown.
