Campbell County school, Volkswagen-Subaru ride together in new tech program partnership


CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Campbell County Public School district and the Terry Volkswagen-Subaru are teaming up to help educate students who are aspiring to work in the automotive industry.

“We are thrilled to partner with Terry Volkswagen-Subaru in this remarkable initiative,” said Jon Hardie, Principal of the Campbell County Technical Center.

The school and the local car dealership announced their partnership on Nov. 28. for the Campbell County Technical Center’s Automotive Technology Program. On Tuesday, Terry Automotive General Manager Mark Dalton and Service Manager Buddy Davis presented a 2023 Subaru Outback to the school.

“This generous donation will significantly enhance the educational experience of our students in the Automotive Technology program. It reinforces our dedication to equipping our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the automotive industry,” said Hardie

According to the school district, the 2023 Sabaru will be used as an educational tool, that will help students who want to learn more about the automotive field. The SUV will give students access to the vehicle’s latest technology and features.
