
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women’s basketball returns to the Pizzitola Sports Center for two home games with the Bears hosting Johnson & Wales on Sunday (Dec. 3) and UMass Lowell (Dec. 5).
The Bears and Wildcats will tip-off at 2 p.m. and Brown will face off against the River Hawks at 7 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.

SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown enters the game with a 5-3 record and is riding a three-game win streak. The Bears won all three games on their recent road trip and overcame 16 and 17-point deficits during the trip. Brown has now won five of its last six games.
- A win over Johnson & Wales would give Brown a 6-3 start through nine games, which would match the 2022-23 season as the best nine-game start since 2017-18.
- Kyla Jones has done it all for the Bears recently, leading Brown in scoring in each of the last three games. Jones scoring 20 points at Loyola Chicago, matched a career-high with 34 against Monmouth and led the Bears with 18 at Bryant the last time out. Jones has now scored in double-figures in seven-straight games.
- Isabella Mauricio broke through with 14 points at Bryant, hitting a season-high four threes.
- Grace Arnolie reached double-figures with 11 points against the Bulldogs and pulled down a career-best nine rebounds.
- Brown got off to a much better start against Bryant, taking a 14-9 lead after one quarter and leading for 28:44 of game time. In its two previous games, Brown led for just over 11 minutes combined and pulled out the late wins.
SCOUTING JOHNSON & WALES
- Johnson & Wales enters the game with a 1-4 record and will play Elms College on Saturday before heading to face the Bears.
- The Wildcats been outscored by at least 13 points in each of their four losses.
- Three Wildcats are scoring in double-figures, led by Mikayla Caruso with 13.2. Sarah Wisniewski is averaging 13.0, followed by Peyton Oliver at 12.3.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
- UMass Lowell is 0-6 on the season and will play Boston College on Sunday before making the trip to Providence. The River Hawks are being outscored by 15 points per game this season, averaging just 49.3 points per contest.
- Turnovers have been a struggle for UMass Lowell, as the team is committing 20.5 turnovers per game.
- Mili Carrera is leading the team with 11 points per game and Sydney Watkins is pulling down a team-high 7.3 rebounds per contest.
