A Bad Review = Hysterical “Hate Cake” at this NH Restaurant

The reviews came in and a few were not good.  So, here’s what this restaurant did to turn the reviews around.

They decided to take the insulting reviews and actually put them on a cake that was so delicious nobody could hate it.  This eatery had the audacity to clothespin the bad review to the piece of cake, and actually call it “hate cake” on the menu.

Seriously, this is the most outrageous thing I’ve seen a restaurant do in a long time, and even the person who gave the bad revue thinks it’s funny too.

Check this out on Facebook. They’re being creative by using a negative comment to highlight what many say is a fabulous meal. I see what you’re doing there.

Some people find their own “hate” with nasty comments about the restaurant, but overall people love the creativity of The Ricochet in Derry, New Hampshire.  Sure they mostly serve amazing pizza, but they also do really cool events like a Bob Ross painting night, as a “battle of the brushes” to raise money for charity, and live acoustic nights at “The Rico”.

The owners are super creative which makes it a fun place to go and an interesting menu.

Some of the comments on Facebook about the “Hate Cake” include:

This is one more reason why we love ricochet!!!

Dang, restaurants doing anything to get more attention. Edgy.

This is now my new favorite place! Wish I could do this at my job!

That is pretty cool. At least, they acknowledged your complaint. Hope it tastes as good as it looks.

So, there you have it.  Some people are amused by it, some people are annoyed by it.  You decide, but doesn’t this make you want to try it no matter what it’s called?
