Lil Wayne Faces Assault and Threat Lawsuit Filed by Bodyguard

A man who was once Lil Wayne’s bodyguard is suing the musician, saying that Wayne assaulted him with an assault weapon and punched him in the head.

Court records obtained by the Blast indicate that two years ago, the Love Me hitmaker’s Hidden Hills, California home was the site of an argument in which Carlos Christian allegedly assaulted the singer and caused mental distress.

According to Christian, after an altercation with 41-year-old Wayne, he opened a restroom door and saw the singer brandishing a firearm. In 2021, this took place.

The bodyguard was suspected of leaking a picture to the press, which led to a confrontation between Wayne—actual name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.—and Wayne, according to TMZ.

According to Christian, he immediately informed the authorities and departed from the scene.

Wayne, via his attorney, has denied the allegations and said that he was not even carrying a gun during the alleged attack.

The top of the chart artist from Lollipop “committed battery against (the bodyguard) in that while holding a gun, punched him on his ear with his fist,” as stated in the legal documents.

“engaged in outrageous conduct, specifically, erratically threatening, assaulting, and battering (him) while holding a semiautomatic rifle,” the court said of the A Milli singer.

The rapper’s ex-employee claimed he was “harmed, including without limitation sustaining a physical and emotional injury, incurring medical bills, losing immediate wages and having his earning capacity reduced.” He also claimed he had to seek “mental health treatment” for PTSD.
