A crash involving five vehicles shut down part of US 401 in Raleigh on Monday night.
The crash happened near a construction zone on Louisburg Road (US 401) between Fox Road and Perry Creek Road, closing the northbound lanes. A call to 911 was made around 10:14 p.m.
Police said a construction worker’s personal vehicle was left in gear and rolled into traffic while unattended. One vehicle traveling north crashed into the empty vehicle. The three other vehicles followed in the crash.
There were no injuries.
The road was reopened as of 11:30 p.m.
