‘Venom 3’ Suffers a Production Hiccup as SAG-AFTRA Strike Halts Filming

Venom 3, a much-anticipated Marvel movie from Sony, has been put on hold because of a strike by SAG-AFTRA.

This is a big problem for Sony’s growing Spider-Man universe, which will include movies like Kraven the Hunter, coming out in October 2023, Madame Web, and Venom 3, coming out in 2024.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Sony stopped making Venom 3 because of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which is still going on.

The film, in which Tom Hardy reprises his role as the famous anti-hero, is not only the last part of the Venom trilogy but also has a lot of potential to be Sony’s most successful live-action Marvel movie.

Given the success of Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the chance of connections to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse makes people even more excited for Venom 3.

Venom 3 just started shooting in Spain. Kelly Marcel, who has been writing Venom scripts for a long time, is making her directorial debut. The game was originally set to come out in October 2024, but Sony has changed the date to “To Be Announced” (TBA).

It’s important to note that Venom 3 is the second Marvel movie to have production problems. On July 14, Marvel Studios had to stop making Deadpool 3.
