Amanda Bynes Looks Good in Her First Public Appearance Five Months After Being Placed on Psychiatric Hold

Amanda Bynes appeared to be in good spirits when she ventured out for a coffee on Thursday, nearly five months after enrolling into an inpatient mental health treatment facility.

On Thursday, the She’s the Man star was seen going home from a coffee shop in Marina del Ray, California, with her freshly dyed platinum hair in two space buns. Her hair was also shaved on the sides above her ears.

The appearance came only two days before the Amanda Show actress announced the release of her new podcast, Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast, on Spotify.

During her coffee run, the All That alum wore lilac skinny jeans and a cropped collared shirt with sunglasses and a burst of color with red lipstick.

Previously, Bynes checked herself into the “intensive inpatient mental health treatment center” a week after being discharged from the institution where she had been put on a psychiatric hold in late June, according to TMZ in July.

Bynes, 37, a bipolar disorder sufferer with a history of substance misuse, was allegedly not taking her medicine prior to being placed on a psychiatric hold.
