‘Station 19’ Says Goodbye to ABC After Seven Seasons

Station 19 is set to close its doors for good after seven seasons of fighting flames and managing human crises. On December 9, 2023, ABC confirmed the rumor, revealing that the upcoming seventh season would be the show’s final.

The show, a spin-off of the long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, debuted in 2018 and followed the lives of the firemen of Seattle’s Station 19.

Among those who appeared on the show were Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera, Jason Winston George as Ben Warren, Barrett Doss as Maya Bishop, and Grey Damon as Jack Gibson.

Station 19 has been a popular ABC series, regularly ranking among the network’s top-rated shows. However, viewership has dropped in previous seasons, prompting the decision to cancel the show.

“We are incredibly grateful to the talented cast and crew of ‘Station 19′ for their passionate work on the show over the past seven years,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said in a statement.

“The series has been a fan favorite and a cornerstone of our Thursday night lineup. We are excited to bring fans a powerful and satisfying conclusion to the series with its final season.”

Station 19’s seventh and final season will begin on ABC on March 14, 2024, at 10 p.m. ET. The season will have 18 episodes.

The series’ conclusion symbolizes the end of an era for ABC. Fans will miss the show, which was one of the network’s most popular dramas.
