Armie Hammer Sends Cryptic Message About ‘Real Awakening’ Following Controversy

Armie Hammer is opening up about his journey to “healing” after a sexual assault scandal derailed his career.

The Call Me from Your Name singer, who only returned to Instagram last month, sent a cryptic message to his Instagram stories on Tuesday, incorporating a lengthy quotation from nun Pema Chödrön.

“Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and over to annihilation can that which is indestructible be found in us,” the first line of the quote said. “This is the spirit of true awakening. It’s all about letting go of everything.”

The nun went on to say that “healing” is a constant and cyclical process, with things “coming together and falling apart” over and over.

“The healing comes from letting there room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy,” the statement went on to say.

It then delves into the philosophical idea that no one can fully predict how things will turn out – whether they would provide “pleasure” or “misery.”

“When there’s a big disappointment, we don’t know if that’s the end of the story. It may be just the beginning of a great adventure,” the note said.

The 37-year-old Man From U.N.C.L.E. actor made a surprise return to Instagram last month, nearly three years after being accused of sexual assault, which he adamantly denied.

An inquiry was initiated, but in May of this year, Los Angeles police announced that Hammer would not face any charges.
