Jennifer Garner is not the right fit for the Met Gala.
In a recent episode of Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, the 13 Going On 30 star stated why she only attended the yearly bash “exactly one time” in 2007, and hasn’t returned since.
“I found it a little scary, so I haven’t been back,” Garner, 51, revealed in the video posted Monday while going through her skincare and makeup regimen.
Despite this, Garner said she had a great time at the “Poiret: King of Fashion” themed party, where she wore a “magical red Valentino gown.”
She went on to say that she went to the Ball as the renowned designer’s date for the evening.
“That was really, like, majestic and special,” she said.
Garner drew attention on the red carpet for the event in 2007 in a backless, strapless, floor-length gown with an immaculate up-do.
In a 2018 Instagram throwback photo, the Juno actress mused on her legendary outfit, writing, “You will never appreciate using the bathroom alone until you’ve been sewn into a dress.”
Notably, Garner isn’t the only celebrity to have boycotted the Met Gala, with Demi Lovato, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Amy Schumer all opposing the Anna Wintour-helmed event in some fashion.
