Nowadays there seems to be some form of injection or surgical procedure that can fix any insecurity— even something as small as eye wrinkles under the eyes.
Some of these procedures go viral – especially when they’re cheap and minimally invasive — which is how the trend of “jelly roll botox” has become a beauty sensation on social media. It involves an injection into the undereye to reduce “puffiness” and fine lines.
Chloe Ellies, who posts online under the username @chloeellies, had the procedure done and realised a stunning difference between her fine lines in before and after photos. In a video, which has gained more than 14,000 likes, she claimed the procedure only cost her around $25-$30 (£19-£23) and shared snaps of her squinting before and after to show the reduced appearance.

In the caption, she added: “Note I’m squinting in both! Didn’t realist how much of a difference jelly roll botox made til now.” TikTok users were left stunned by the clip as they took to the comments wanting to know more before they get it themselves.
One user said: “This was the most helpful video I’ve watched on this.” Another added: “I live for jelly roll botox.” Meanwhile, a third wrote: “This one always makes me so nervous! But I love it!”
Botox expert and Medical Director of Elan Laser Clinics, Dr Dean Rhobaye explained: “‘Jelly roll Botox’ is essentially Botox for the under-eye area where there is puffiness and specifically protrusion of the under-eye muscle which creates a ‘jelly roll’ look. The area looks like it has a swelling or bulge under the eye when you smile or squint causing a ‘roll’ effect.
“Some people have it because of over-active muscle fibres underneath the eye. Anti-wrinkle injections like Botox works by relaxing the muscle by targeting the nerves and blocking certain signals which contract.

“A small amount of under-eye Botox is precisely placed to help reduce the bunching and protruding appearance of that area and widen up the eye area. Overall, it will also open the eyes when you smile. This can be combined with Botox in areas to give a brow lift and reduce wrinkles and crow’s feet.”
But while many women online are turning to the viral treatment – Dr Rhobaye has warned that not everyone can have it done. He added: “Although more and more people are searching for ‘jelly roll Botox’, I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, it is for the patient who needs that specific reduction in the large under-eye muscle and often clients mistake under-eye circles as a ‘jelly roll’.
“Those who are wanting to fill under-eye bags or to widen the eye have other options which may be more suitable such as filler, Botox at the brow to lift the area or laser. It is important to see a reputable and experienced practitioner to ensure that this treatment is right for you or if other treatments are more suited.”
