AI Art Prize In Mexico Has Brazilian Connections
Brazilian artists Leandro Lima and Mari Nagen received the special recognition award of $20,000 and a thirty-day residency in the SFER IK Museion‘s inaugural artist award to create a new work integrating AI. The Tulum, Mexico-based outdoor museum integrates art and nature. “SFER IK is a completely unique space in which to create and experience art,” says Marcello Dantas, creative director of SFER IK. “The selected artists for residency will have the singular experience of total immersion in the natural world while leveraging the latest in cutting-edge digital technologies. My vision for this award is to provide an opportunity for artists to create work that could not be conceived in any other context.”

Miami Shows Topography of Memory in Advance of Pinacoteca
A Gentil Carioca artist Sallisa Rosa has an installation up in Miami for a few more days through December 17 at the Collins Park Rotunda before it comes to Pinacoteca de São Paulo from March 16 to July 28. Entitled “Topografia da Memória,” “The work explores the theme of memory and is made up of more than 100 ceramic pieces handmade from collected clay, arranged in such a way as to create an environment for visitors to explore,” according to the gallery.
