Despite the fact that they split years ago, Emma Stone appeared to light up when she spotted ex Andrew Garfield at a screening of her new film, Poor Things.

In social media postings, the actress, 35, who dated Garfield, 40, for four years until parting in October 2015, appeared to acknowledge him from the stage.

Stone can be seen in one of the videos pointing to someone in the audience while on stage, and in another she can be seen signaling in Garfield’s direction as she walks out. She appeared to shoot a flying kiss his way.

Fans also captured footage of the actor conversing with members of Stone’s team while sitting in the theatre.

When they co-starred as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in the 2011 film The Amazing Spider-Man, the former couple began dating. The pair has stayed amicable over the years, however.

In 2017, the actor told Variety about his relationship with Stone, “We care about each other so much, and that’s a given, that’s kind of this unconditional thing.”

“There’s so much love between us and so much respect. … I’m her biggest fan as an artist,” he added.

Garfield also mentioned on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in 2022 that he and Stone are still in contact, as he expressed her reaction to his Spider-Man: No Way Home performance.

“Emma kept on texting me,” he continued. “She was like, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man film?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about!’ She was like, ‘Shut up, just tell me,’ And like, I honestly… I kept it going, even with her, it’s hilarious. And then she saw it and was like, ‘You’re a jerk!’”

Stone met comedy writer Dave McCary in 2016 while hosting Saturday Night Live after her divorce from Garfield. The couple married in 2020 and had their first kid in March 2021.
