Meghan Markle looked beautiful in gold as she, Prince Harry, and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, went to the Women of Vision Awards in New York. However, not everything went as planned.

Social media videos show the couple arriving at the Ms Foundation’s annual gala at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan, where Markle, 41, was honored as one of 2023’s Woman of Vision Award honorees for her work around the world to support women and girls. As soon as Markle gets out of the car, a guy with a British accent can be heard yelling, “Meghan, how do you feel about being a part of two broken families?” After that, Meghan can be seen getting out of the car and going to grab her mom.

Markle was, however, praised at the event. Gloria Steinem, who was one of the co-founders of the Ms. Foundation, gave Markle the award and told People that she was “different from what the media says about her.” She is smart, funny, and cares about helping people. Danielle Moodie, who runs the show The New Abnormal for The Daily Beast, was also in charge of the event.
