The 18,000-square-foot space will offer 12 food stalls, one full-service restaurant, three bars and private event space, according to Crescent Communities and Nuveen Real Estate.

In addition to five previously announced food stalls, four new vendors are opening at the Monarch Market, including Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, Dock Local, Focaccina and Pha Khao Lao Cuisine.

The market is the result of a three-year and $33 million project, and developers said the intention is to create a place for people working in Uptown Charlotte to work and play. The market’s central Uptown location also puts it in close proximity to several sports and entertainment venues.

“We cannot wait to debut the unique culinary experience that is Monarch Market,” chef Akhtar Nawab, co-founder of Hospitality HQ, the operating partner of Monarch Market, said. “With a diverse set of food & beverage offerings located in the center of everything Uptown has to offer for locals, tourists, business travelers, and offices, we look forward to expanding guests’ overall Uptown experience and their palates.”

Monarch Market will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
