Reuters, citing anonymous sources, reported on Monday that Xi could arrive in Moscow earlier than previously announced. China has proposed a plan to negotiate an end to the violence in Ukraine, but some international observers remain skeptical of Beijing’s approach due to its strategic partnership with the Kremlin. China’s foreign ministry issued a 12-point plan for peace last month, asking both parties to reduce tensions gradually. Nevertheless, the ceasefire proposal refrained from criticizing Russia’s actions and slammed Western sanctions put on its partner.
