Actor Angus Cloud of ‘Euphoria’ Dies at Age 25

A young actor who was in Euphoria named Angus Cloud has died. He had turned 25. TMZ says that Cloud died in Oakland, California, where he lived with his family. No reason for death was given right away.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” Cloud’s family said in a statement to TMZ. “Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

Cloud was born in California in 1998. He was born in Oakland. Even though most of his family lived in Ireland, he grew up in the Bay Area. Cloud is the oldest of four children. He leaves behind a younger brother and two sisters who are twins. Cloud went to the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts. There, he was in the same class as Zendaya, who later appeared with him in Euphoria.

Cloud played the fan-favorite character Fezco in Euphoria. Fezco is a local drug dealer who is friends with the character Rue, played by Zendaya. He got the part after Jennifer Venditti, who was in charge of casting for the show, saw him working at a restaurant near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, called Woodland. He thought at first that she was trying to trick him, but he got the part and played Fezco on the HBO show for the first two seasons.

In addition to his hit part in Euphoria, Cloud also starred in the 2021 drama North Hollywood and in The Line, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in June and starred Halle Bailey and John Malkovich. He will also be in two movies that are still being made after his death. The first is an untitled Universal Monsters movie directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who both worked on Scream. The second movie is Freaky Tales, a drama that was written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who also worked on Captain Marvel.
