Adut Akech is one of fashion’s most in-demand models and has walked for Saint Laurent, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, Miu Miu, Prada, Versace and other major fashion houses. Akech is from South Sudan and spent the first eight years in a refugee camp in Kenya, after which her family moved to Australia. There, she signed with Chadwick Models at 16 and shortly after was cast as an exclusive for Anthony Vaccarello’s debut spring 2017 Saint Laurent show. She was the second Black model to walk Chanel’s coveted bridal spot, closing their haute couture fall 2018 show. See photos below.
