Aespa’s Winter Will Miss Japan Gigs

Winter, a member of the K-pop band Aespa, won’t be at their concerts in Japan. Her management company, SM Entertainment, said in a statement on April 29 that she would not be there.

“Due to Winter’s poor physical condition, we consulted a doctor, and it was ultimately decided that she will not be participating in [aespa’s] Japan concerts on April 29 and 30 at Nippon Gaishi Hall. The concerts in question will be held with only three members: Karina, Giselle, and Ningning.”

They also said that anyone who wanted to return their tickets, because the list had changed with so little notice, would get their money back. After their shows in Japan, the group will go back to Korea to release their long-awaited reunion album, My World.

A few weeks ago, it was also announced that the group would be at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. This makes them the first K-pop group to ever go to the event.
