After a Weekend Twitter Feud, Elon Musk Has Blocked Conservative Actor James Woods

On the weekend, Elon Musk and conservative actor and producer James Woods got into a fight. To end it, Musk hit the button they were fighting about: Block. On Friday, Woods was upset about changes to the social media site, which is now called X. This started the fight. Musk has been thinking about some possible changes, and one of them is getting rid of the option to block people. Woods said that if it goes through, he “will have no choice but to retire from this site.”

Even though Woods had once supported Musk’s plan to take over Twitter, he and Musk got into a fight after Woods wrote: “Musk, whom I once championed, is only doing this to protect his advertisers anyway. Users of X are mere pawns to turn the site into an electronic shopping mall. The man I thought was a defender of free speech is just another greedy capitalist. Disappointing, but not surprising.” Musk told Woods on Saturday, “Then delete your account.” He then answered to another tweet by saying, “I’m having a good time blocking people who complain that blocking is going away. How does the medicine taste?”

On Sunday, Woods said that Musk had stopped him, but he added that he wasn’t going anywhere, even though Musk had threatened to do so. “The recurring theme in your many heartfelt DM’s was a fear that I would leave X,” Woods told his fans. “I’ve have now decided I will never leave, and will only ever be silent when they find an excuse to remove my account.”
