After her divorce from Brandon Blackstock in 2020, Kelly Clarkson has no plans to date or get married.

“Kelly wants to be single forever, but she realizes forever is a long time,” a source told US Weekly.

“Even though she doesn’t think she’ll date or get married again, her friends have told her she should at least be open to the idea of putting herself out there,” the source said.

The source agreed with Kelly’s statement that she “wants to enjoy the single life and all the freedoms that come with it.” Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon in June 2020, after they had been married for seven years.

“Kelly can come and go whenever she wants. She only makes commitments when she feels they really fit with her passions, and the only people she feels responsible for are her kids,” said the source.

“Nothing comes before them,” the source said.
