After Massive Success, Netflix Renews ‘The Night Agent’ for Season 2

The Night Agent will have a second season on Netflix, thanks to how popular the first season was.

The action-thriller show has already been picked up for a second season, even though it just started on the streaming giant on March 23.

It became very popular right away because it was number one on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 chart, with 168.71 million hours watched.

There will be 10 episodes in the second season of The Night Agent.

The creator of the show, Shawn Ryan, said, “The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share ‘The Night Agent’ with the world.”

“Seeing how well the show has been received has been a great joy, and it’s a credit to the cast, writers, directors, crew, Sony Pictures Television, and Netflix, with whom we work. We couldn’t be happier or more excited to get started on Season 2 and show our new fans more of Night Action’s adventures,” he added.

The Night Agent is based on Matthew Quirk’s book of the same name. In the show, an FBI agent works as a phone operator in the basement of the White House. The phone never rings.

Until one night when he got a call that put him in the middle of a fast-moving, dangerous plot that led all the way to the White House.

Gabriel Basso is the main character in the series. Other actors in The Night Agent are Luciane Buchanan, Phoenix Raei, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, D. B. Woodside, Enrique Murciano, and Hong Chau.
