After Missing Coronation, Meghan Markle May Never Attend Royal Events

A royal expert said that after Meghan Markle skipped King Charles’ coronation, it was thought that she would never go to another royal event.

This week, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Prince Harry will come to the U.K. for the historic event on May 6, but the Duchess of Sussex will stay with the couple’s children in California.

People also think that the former actress is skipping the event because her son Prince Acrhie’s birthday is on the same day as the coronation.

Since Harry and Meghan left the royal family in 2020, she has only been back to the U.K. three times. The last time was for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

But royal expert and author Robert Jobson said that the Duchess’s last royal event might be the Queen’s funeral and that she might never be part of another royal family event again.

Jobson told The Sun, “It is good news that Harry has accepted the invite and will be there to support his father. It is the most pragmatic move in a difficult situation, and Harry has got it right. He would deeply regret it if he didn’t attend the biggest day of his father’s life. But the fact his wife is not attending means it is now highly unlikely we will ever see her attend an official or Palace event again, apart from maybe the King’s funeral.”
