Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup kept their relationship quiet for almost five years, but they couldn’t keep their feelings from the public any longer.
After getting married in secret, the couple was all smiles as they walked their dog in New York City. They stopped for a kiss at one point.
On Saturday, June 10, 2023, the 54-year-old actress from “The Watcher” revealed that she was married to the 54-year-old actor from “The Morning Show.” She also shared some behind-the-scenes photos from her wedding day on Instagram Stories over the weekend.
The news came a day after they were seen going back to their New York City apartment wearing rings that matched. This led to rumors that they were getting married.
According to their social media posts, Mark Ruffalo, Sunrise Coigney, Josh Hamilton, and Lily Thorne were there to help the pair celebrate their vows.
Also, in an interview with People Magazine, Ryan Trygstad, a famous hairstylist, said that Watts wanted a simple wedding with a chill vibe.
Trygstad, who has worked with Watts for 20 years, said, “I knew about the wedding just a few days before. Naomi wanted just a simple, ‘no fuss’ wedding.”
The stylist said that for the bride’s wedding hairstyle, they were deciding between “one very simple sleek low bun look or a down, natural, effortless look.”
But after looking at the dress and the place, they “decided on a natural, soft-wave, down hairstyle.”
After Watts and Crudup got married in secret, a source told People Magazine that their relationship is a ‘love story.’
“They have the most amazing chemistry. He makes Naomi laugh like no one else. She deserves love and happiness. Billy has been so good to her. He’s an amazing partner,” the person close to the couple said.
Watts and Crudup met in June 2017 when they were both working on the Netflix show Gypsy. In the show, they both play husband and wife.
