AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Deputies responded to a disturbance involving gunfire, but the suspect stole a car with someone inside it and fled, according to authorities.
It all started around 1:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Pine Log Road, where deputies were sent to investigate a disturbance with gunfire.

The suspect started running from that location, and tried to steal one car but was unsuccessful, authorities said. The suspect did manage to steal a second car – with someone inside it, according to deputies.
The suspect led police on a road chase that ended at Banks Mill and Talatha Church Road, where authorities had deployed stop sticks.
From there, the suspect got out and ran but was taken into custody, deputies said.
The suspect will face multiple charges, but deputies don’t have all the details yet.
No one was injured, according to deputies.
Back on East Pine Log where the initial disturbance was reported, yellow crime scene tape was strung up all around B&H Storage. Several marked and possibly unmarked law enforcement vehicles were in the parking lot.
Deputies said they were assisted on the case by the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
