Aled Jones Was Robbed in London, and His Expensive Watch Was Stolen

After being robbed while walking with his son, Aled Jones got into a lot of trouble.

Jones’s £17,000 Rolex was supposedly stolen after a man with a machete threatened him while he was walking with his son.

The 52-year-old Songs of Praise star was walking around Chiswick in west London on Friday around 5:30 p.m. when he was robbed on Chiswick Road.

A source told the Sun that the attacker waved a gun in Aled and his 18-year-old son Lucas’ faces and told them to give him their Rolex Daytona watches.

The former choirboy is said to have “not put up a fight” and given the watch to the thief so that the thug wouldn’t hurt him or his son.

After what happened, Aled told the cops about it. Since then, a 16-year-old has been charged with one count of robbery.

In the last 18 months, there have been a lot of watch thefts in the capital. Other celebs, like boxer Amir Khan, have been affected, whose £72,000 watch was stolen last year.

A source told the paper that Aled was “completely shocked” and “shaken” by the attack, which “took place so quickly” and “came out of nowhere.”

They also said that the 52-year-old was “relieved” that he and his son were not hurt and that they were able to “get home safely.”

The source said, “You can replace a watch and everyone realized it could have been a lot worse.”

Claire, Aled’s wife of 22 years, and Emilia, their 21-year-old actress daughter who played in the Oscar-winning film CODA in 2021, were not with the two thieves at the time of the robbery.
