Generating millions of plays weekly on her videos, Kay commands the attention of country music fans. With a voice reminiscent of Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss and Lee Ann Womack, she is bringing country music back to its roots.

Kay grew up about 40 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri, in Waterloo, Illinois. She began writing songs at the age of 15 as a way to cope with being a teenager, her first loves and finding herself.

Kay got her start in the entertainment field at a young age by booking commercials and voice-over work. While performing in multiple musical theater productions, she decided to try her luck as a contestant on “American Idol” in 2011.

Kay started working in hip hop and R&B in early 2012. Using the platform Nelly created, she positioned herself into the St. Louis music scene. Working with notable artists such as Nelly and Huey Alexandra created enough buzz to sign an independent record deal with Nettwork Entertainment in 2013.

“No More,” Kay’s first single, was a radio hit. The song spent three weeks at No. 1 on the New Music Weekly Top 40 pop chart, and reached the top of Hot AC and Hot 100 charts.

Since then, she has collaborated with artists such as Randy Travis, Tim McGraw and Scott Stapp. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in November 2022.
