Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 is almost over, and we’ve been taking plenty of sartorial inspiration from the front row, the runway, and the streets. On the front row, celebrities from Zendaya, with a faux pixie cut, to Naomi Campbell, with a f*ck ass bob, gave us plenty of hair inspiration (the takeaway? We’ll be going short for summer). And, the runways are always packed with beauty trends.
While we love a runway and celebrity moment for style and beauty inspiration, street style has our heart. Throughout fashion month, we’ve seen Bridgerton-core, the rise of the flat shoe, and the dominance of the brown leather bag. Now we’re stocked up on flouncy dresses, loafers and capacious coffee-coloured carriers, it’s time to turn our eyes to street style beauty.
From OTT hair accessories to wet-look curls, bleached-out mullets, and deconstructed chignons, these are the hair trends we’ll be wearing on the streets of Paris and into the summer months.
The Best Street Style Hair Trends From Paris Fashion Week SS25
Wet Look Waves
Wet-look curls, particularly fringes, were all over the streets of Paris Fashion Week, with guests shaping bobs, buns and bangs in soft (never crunchy) tendrils.
Clips And Accessories
Hardware was everywhere on the streets at Paris Fashion Week with bobby pins and clips accenting hair styles.
Bleached Mullets
Run to your local chemist and pick up a bottle of Hi-Lift because the colour de jour in Paris was stressed out, 90s strands – usually worn feathered mullet style.
Bows, Bows, Bows
While the “very demure” TikTok trend may have waned and the coquette core has vanished from our TikTok algorithms, the bow remains one of the easier statement hair accessories. Whether oversized or tucked delicately behind the ear, bows dotted the streets of Paris Fashion Week adding instant flair to hair looks.
Plaits
Worn preppy horse girl style, pigtail or in mini tendrils, the ornamental plait was everywhere at PFW. We’ll be practicing our technique.
Deconstructed Chignons
What’s more “French girl” than an artfully messy chignon? This quintessentially French hairstyle was all over the streets at PFW, with guests wearing their buns twisted, spiky and deconstructed.
