What is Ciao House on Food Network about?

Food Network’s newest show Ciao House follows 10 chefs living in a Tuscany, Italy 14th century villa.

The reality cooking show sees the competitors go through different cooking challenges until one person is left standing.

As per Food Network, “Each episode’s culinary challenges are steeped in tradition and the competitors must also navigate alliances and rivalries as they pick their own teams and each week, the losing team must vote off one of their own.”

Ultimately, the winner gets the opportunity to train with “renowned Italian master chefs” while immersing in culinary education around Italy.

Who is the host of Ciao House?

Ciao House is hosted by celebrity chefs Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabriele Bertaccini.

Alex has a long history as a judge on hit cooking competition shows Iron Chef and Chopped.

She also has a show on Food Network called Alex vs America where 15 top chefs go against Alex in multiple competitions.

The Italian-born chef lives in Venice Beach, California, where he manages four Los Angeles catering companies.

In addition to his long history in the food industry, Gabriele co-hosted the Netflix wedding series Say I Do.

Who won season 1 of Ciao House?

Former Alinea Group chef Natalia “Boa” Rosario was the winner of season one of Ciao House.

The Ciao House winner gained her love for fine dining after she spent her childhood at her father’s job at the Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico.

There she became friends with the executive chef’s daughter and studied the chef’s talent over the years.

Her family eventually moved to Mexico City where she attended culinary school.

She later moved to Chicago and went to work at the Alinea Group for six years before moving on to Next for three years.

Natalia eventually made her way to compete on Food Network’s Chopped Next Gen and Beat Bobby Flay before Ciao House.

How to watch Ciao House?

Season one of Ciao House is available to stream on Max, Discovery Plus, and FuboTV.

In June 2023, it was revealed that Ciao House was renewed for a second season.

As per Variety, the show’s production began filming around late 2023.

Betsy Ayala, Warner Bros. Discovery’s head of food content shared in a statement to the outlet that she knew the show would be a success.

“We knew early on this series was incredibly unique and offered viewers something they’ve never seen from Food Network before – we can’t wait to start working on season two,” said Betsy.

A premiere date has yet to be revealed, however, season one showcased around mid-April.
