Amanda Holden’s House Renovation Raises £127,000 for Charity

During the renovation of Amanda Holden and Alan Carr’s home, a staggering £127,000 was raised for charity.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who is 52, and the comedian, who is 46, spent three months fixing up two apartments in Salemi, an ancient town about an hour from Palermo, Sicily’s capital.

After getting the two flats for one euro each, Amanda and Alan: The Italian Job on BBC showed how they fixed them up and put them together.

The Mirror says that the apartment is thought to have been sold for close to what it was listed for, which was €145,000 (£127,500).

A BBC spokesman told the newspaper, “The sale is in progress. Proceeds will be donated to Children in Need and Comic Relief.”
