Keanu Reeves, best known for his legendary role as John Wick, has left fans in awe yet again, as a video of his astounding marksmanship training for the blockbuster sequel, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, has recently resurfaced.
The video, which was first posted around the film’s premiere in May 2019, involves an obstacle course with a Sig Sauer MPX submachine gun.
As he advances through the course, Reeves exhibits near-flawless marksmanship, nailing many targets with pinpoint accuracy.
The resurfacing of this tape has introduced a new generation of fans to the actor’s amazing abilities, cementing his status as one of Hollywood’s most varied and passionate performers.
The video contains not just Reeves, but also his co-star Halle Berry, who stands behind him, painstakingly timing his course run.
Berry had previously released a video of herself filming at the time. This emergence coincides with the ninth anniversary of the first John Wick film’s theatrical release on October 24, 2014.
Due to the deafening loudness of the rifle’s fire, Reeves, dressed in a gray T-shirt, a tan baseball cap, and dark jeans, and Berry, dressed in a black tank top, matching leggings, and black arm coverings, both wear sunglasses and bright orange earplugs.
Berry begins the video by beginning the timer as Reeves loads his weapon, and then he’s gone. He fires two rounds into the body of a white dummy before pivoting and unleashing precision shots at block white stands that resemble the height of possible enemies.
Notably, Reeves appears to be using the double tap technique, firing a second shot quickly after the first, which increases the likelihood of incapacitating an opponent in fight by hitting the same region.
