AMAZON Fire Stick owners have been warned about a common mistake that could be disrupting their streaming experience.
In a recent Reddit post, one Amazon Fire Stick user shared that their gadget was having trouble connecting.
They noted that their remote was lagging since they first purchased it a few months ago.
In an attempt to counter the problem, another Reddit user suggested that the user’s Bluetooth might’ve been getting interfered with.
“There may be something in your home casting Bluetooth signals and interfering or you got a buggy/defective stick,” they said.
Indeed, it’s very common for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections to be obstructed.

There are several reasons for this hindrance – we outline three potential issues below.
METAL OBJECTS
It’s not surprising that heavy metal objects can interfere with your Wi-Fi service, and in turn your gadgets.
This is due to metal, in general, being a tough material to penetrate.
Anything made of metal – such as doors, walls, and building infrastructure – can reduce your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal’s strength.

As such, you should try to avoid placing your Wi-Fi router close to metal objects.
OTHER ELECTRONICS
Household appliances like microwaves and televisions can also disrupt the service of your smart gadgets.
That’s because these objects tend to emit their own radiowaves that can override your devices.
To avoid interference from these objects, you’ll want to place both your Wi-Fi router and Fire Stick away from them.
PHYSICAL BARRIERS
Large bulky furniture or physical barriers (like cabinets or closets) can weaken the signal of just about any internet-connected device.
The more furniture you have, and the bigger and thicker it is, the more your signal will experience disruption.
If your router or Fire Stick is currently hiding behind any furniture, move it to a more open space.
