Amber Heard Is Still ‘Recovering’ from Johnny Depp’s Traumatic Trial

After losing the defamation case against Johnny Depp, which got a lot of attention, Amber Heard feels like society has turned its back on her.

But the Aquaman star is “living her best life” in Spain with her daughter Oonagh Paige, away from the spotlight and scandals, while she is still getting over the trauma.

The source said that the actor felt like “a pariah” after her ex-husband won the case after a six-week trial.

“The trial was watercooler conversation, and the energy around it was so intense,” the person said. “Amber felt like people were always talking about her and just needed to get away.”

The source also said that Heard “has been so much happier” since she moved. “She’s still recovering from the trauma of the trial, but it’s been so healthy to get away from all the noise,” the source said.

The fight between the two ex-spouses began when Heard wrote an opinion piece for The Washington Post in which she said her husband had abused her.

After Depp won the defamation case, the court told Heard that it was his responsibility to pay him $15 million in damages. However, after the decision was made public, they came to an agreement.

Recently, it came out that Heard paid Depp the $1 million she owed him, which he will divide among the five causes he likes the most.

In an interview with People Magazine, Camille Vasquez, who used to be Depp’s lawyer, also said that Heard has paid the settlement fee.

“Ms. Heard did pay Mr. Depp, not the other way around. I want to make that very, very clear,” Vasquez said. “The judgment still stands. It will always still stand for the remainder of time.”

She also said, “And Mr. Depp will be donating the money that Ms. Heard paid to settle the appeal to a number of charities. Case closed, and we couldn’t be happier about it for him in the best possible way.”
