Amber Heard went back on social media and thanked her fans for their support after an “unforgettable weekend.” The star was talking about when she went to Sicily to promote her new movie at the Taormina Film Festival.

A year after her famous defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp, the 37-year-old actress shared a photo of herself smiling at the people. She got into trouble last year when she was sued by the star over an essay she wrote about being abused for the Washington Post. Sources said that Depp was the one who hurt her.

The trial was the talk of the town because every part of it was shown on TV. Most of the jury’s decision went to Depp, but Amber did win one of her three counterclaims.

In her last social media post, which was in December 2022, she said that she had made the “very difficult decision” to settle.

She seems to have chosen to move on from the controversy because she wrote on Instagram, “Thank you for such an incredibly warm reception at the Taormina Film Festival for my latest movie In the Fire. It was an unforgettable weekend.”
