Amber Heard Smiles Her Way Out of a Question About the Johnny Depp Trial

After taking a break from the spotlight, Amber Heard recently made her first public appearance since her trip to Spain. Even though she seemed happy, she wouldn’t answer questions about the Johnny Depp trial. Instead, she talked about how much she liked Spain.

The former Aquaman star looked happy as she spoke quickly with reporters outside her home. Amber Heard was happy and smiling as she took pictures with her friends.

But when asked about her time in Madrid and the defamation trial, she avoided the question and didn’t talk about it. “I love Spain so much,” she said. I hope I can get to stay here; I love living here. I hope you are well; it was a pleasure meeting you.”

She made a veiled comment about the trial with her ex-husband, saying, “I have to move forward, huh? That’s life.”

At the end of the highly publicized trial, the court told Heard to pay her ex-husband Depp $10 million in economic damages and $350,000 in punitive damages for slandering him in an opinion piece she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018.

Heard said about the trial’s result, “I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to my ex-husband’s disproportionate power, influence, and sway. It sets the clock back to when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated.”
