The American Music Awards is back and ready to celebrate the most iconic songs and most influential artists of the year, voted on entirely by the fans.

Jennifer Lopez has been tapped once again to host the show and deliver an exciting opening performance. Janet Jackson and Rod Stewart will not only perform, but receive honorary awards that celebrate their contributions to the industry. Presenters include Ciara, Miami-based influencer Alix Earle and YouTube sensation and streamer Kai Cenat.

This year, the show falls on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Airing live at 8 p.m. from Las Vegas, Nevada, the AMAs will present performances and a special award to honor active-duty U.S. troops and veterans.

Kendrick Lamar has ten 2025 American Music Awards nominations, including “Artist of the Year” and “Album of the Year.”

Also nominated for the two awards, Post Malone trails closely with eight nominations. Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey each have seven.

The 2025 American Music Awards winners are determined by fan votes.

Some categories are closed by show day, however others remain open for fans to vote until 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. PT.

To vote, visit billboard.com/amasvote. Votes are doubled on show day.

Nominations, however, are “based on key fan interactions – as reflected on the Billboard charts – including streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour grosses,” according to the American Music Awards.
