Kabir “Kabeezy” Singh, a comedian known for appearing on America’s Got Talent, died Wednesday, December 4. He was 39.
His fiancée confirmed his death to People. Authorities are reportedly waiting for a toxicology report to determine the cause of death, per TMZ.
Sources told TMZ that Singh had been dealing with undisclosed health issues, leading authorities to suspect that he died of natural causes. He was believed to be in San Francisco at the time of death.
Singh appeared as a comedian on the 16th season of America’s Got Talent in 2021, where he was a semi-finalist. Per his Instagram account, he was also featured on Comedy Central and Family Guy.
Up to his death, Singh was traveling to perform standup. He was most recently promoting a show at the Deaf Puppy Comedy Club in Manteca, California on November 2.
His friend Jeremy Curry took to Facebook on December 5 to mourn his loss, and share a photo of the two together.
“It’s My Deepest Regrets to let Everyone Know that Kabir Singh has passed away… He passed away peacefully in his sleep and this is the most devastating post I’ve posted….Services will be Saturday December 14 at 8:30 am @ Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward [Union City, California]… Please keep his family and fiancé in your thoughts and prayers….I Love you bro,” his post read.
Following the news, fans and fellow comedians began sharing their condolences on Singh’s Instagram page.
“You were always cool to me. You were hilarious on stage. I’ll never forget you and Sammy Obeid drove from the bay to LA JUST TO DO one small show in the middle of the week. That stuck with me. The dedication. Rest in peace brother,” comedian Paul Kim posted.
Comedian Mike Masilotti commented, “RIP Kabir. Great guy and comic 🏆.”
