ORONO, Maine (WABI) – Amy Vachon has agreed to a new deal to continue to be the Maine women’s basketball coach.

Her contract extension will retroactively run from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2028 to replace her current agreement.

Vachon will earn $210,000 in 2024-25 with an annual increase of $8,000 through 2028.

She’s won the America East Coach of the Year award four times since taking over on March 1, 2018 after an interim stint.
